Open to Pakistani citizens. Age requirement: born on or after April 2, 1992 (under 35 at programme start). Must be in good physical and mental health. Dual nationals eligible if applying with Pakistani passport from Pakistan. Apply through Embassy of Japan in Islamabad OR Consulate in Karachi depending on your CNIC home district — do not apply through both as duplicate applicants are disqualified. Strong academic record required.
Full tuition at any Japanese national university including entrance and matriculation fees. Monthly stipend: ¥143,000 for master's, ¥145,000 for PhD (approximately PKR 270,000+). Return economy airfare. Optional 1-year research-student preparatory period before degree. Duration: 2 years master's + optional 1-year research period, 3 years PhD + optional 1-year research period.
