Open to Pakistani and AJ&K nationals only. Must apply through HEC Pakistan as the Sending Partner — applications not submitted through HEC are automatically rejected. Academic requirements: Bachelor's/One-Tier Master's: completed HSSC/Intermediate (12 years of education); Master's: completed 16-year bachelor's degree; PhD: completed MS/MPhil (17–18 years of education). Final-year students awaiting results may apply but must submit final transcripts by August 1 of the application year. Must not currently be enrolled in a Hungarian university. For professional degrees in medicine, engineering, nursing, architecture, law, or pharmacy — you must personally verify the programme is accredited by the relevant Pakistani council (PMC, PEC, etc.) as HEC does not do this on your behalf. 340+ scholarship seats available for Pakistan annually — one of the largest allocations in Europe.
Full tuition fee waiver at any participating Hungarian university. Free on-campus dormitory accommodation. Monthly stipend: HUF 43,700 (approximately EUR 110) for undergraduate and master's students; HUF 140,000 (approximately EUR 355) for PhD students in first 4 semesters; HUF 180,000 (approximately EUR 460) for PhD students in second 4 semesters. Health insurance under Hungarian national scheme. No application fee. Access to 900+ English-taught programmes across Hungarian universities.
